What is Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS)?

UCaaS is a category of “as a service” or “cloud” delivery mechanism for Unified Communications (UC) features and functions. Essentially it is a telephone system with which there is no hardware or software to purchase, or to install – just a monthly service hosted by a provider, and your handsets.
